Campfire Recipes – Pita Pizza...

Here is a delicious recipe for adults and children alike that’s as fun to eat as it is to make!

You will need:
+Pita Bread
+Marinara Sauce
+Mozzarella Cheese
+Aluminum Foil
+Campfire Grill
+Any additional toppings you might want

Place on top of sheet of aluminum foil. Spread marinara sauce, and add cheese. Wrap gently, and place on grill for about 10 or 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

Here are some variations on this dish you also might enjoy:

Mediterranean Style
+Extra Virgin Olive Oil
+1/2 Clove Garlic (chopped or crushed)
+Mozzarella Cheese
+3 thin Slices Tomato
+1 Pita
Drizzle about 1 to 1 1/2 tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil to pita. Distribute garlic as evenly as possible over olive oil. Layer with tomatoes and cheese. Wrap and grill for about 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
+ Also try adding Feta or Gorgonzola cheeses for an extra kick!

BBQ Chicken
+Barbecue Sauce
+Can of Chicken
+Mozzarella Cheese
+1 Pita
Spread Barbecue Sauce onto pita. Top with Cheese and Chicken. Wrap and grill for about 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Kickin’ Spicy Chicken
+Plain Tomato Sauce
+Can of Chicken
+Tabasco Sauce or other Hot Sauce
+Mozzarella Cheese
+Blue Cheese Crumbled
+1 Pita
Spread Plain tomato sauce on pita. Drizzle hot sauce over tomato sauce. Top with layer of cheeses to taste, and follow with chicken chunks. Wrap and grill for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

Hawaiian Style
+Marinara or Plain Tomato Sauce
+Can of Pineapple (chunk or crushed)
+Ham or Canadian Bacon Slices
+Mozzarella Cheese
+1 Pita
Spread tomato sauce/marinara sauce on pita. Cover with layer of cheese. Add Pineapple and Ham Chunks to taste. Wrap and grill for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
